About Det-Sol

Det-Sol powder, is a chlorine releasing compound based on a formulation
containing Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate ,giving a pink disinfectant solution
when mixed with water, packed in contamination proof poly/foil sachets to
give a shelf life of 5 years.

Det-Sol is safe

Det-Sol has a broad spectrum anti-microbial activity. It confers with the
right concentration of available chlorine-a proven disinfectant (link to
sodium hypochlorite story) Det-Sol's active ingredient, sodium
dichloroisocyanurate, is resistant to organic inactivation and stabilises
the hypochlorite, prolonging its effective use. Unlike liquids, Det-Sol is
light-weight , effective, easy to store and use, has clear instructions on
each sachet and a colour indicator differentiating over clear water
solutions.

Det-Sol is Effective and Efficient

Chlorine releasing compounds such as Det-Sol, are stable and compact and
provide strong viricidal, germicidal and bactericidal activity which is
effective in the prevention of bacterial, blood- borne viral, yeast and
fungal infections.

The unique Det-Sol formulation provides an effective disinfectant balanced
with alkaline phosphates to provide a buffer which actually inhibits the
corrosive effects of hypchlorous acid.

Det-Sol is Economical

Det-Sol is both economical and convenient to use (see example below) and
comes in a pre-measured powdered form, that makes easy and accurate
preparation as simple as colour coded sachets. There is no waste, it is cost
effective and there are no heavy bulky liquids to store and dispense.

Eg.

Dissolve contents of one sachet of Det-Sol 5000 in one litre of water and
you have a sodium hypochlorite solution of 5000ppm available chlorine.

Or

Dissolve contents of one sachet of Det-Sol 500 in one litre of water and you
have a sodium hypochlorite solution of 500ppm available chlorine.

Det-Sol for blood and body fluid spills

Powdered chlorine offers absorbent cleaning. When used in powder form to
clean blood or body fluid, it forms a semi-solid waste which is easier to

Det-Sol Packaging

A carton of Det-Sol 500 contains 250 x 6gram sachets with each sachet making
one litre or making 250 litres in total.

A carton of Det-Sol 5000 contains 200 x 20gram sachets with each sachet
making one litre or making 200 litres in total.
